The Irving Veterans Memorial   was an ambitious, nearly year long project.

The voters of Irving approved a 3 million dollar bond package to complete Phase 2.

Stone Carver Designs was chosen to do all of the engraved text and graphics on the black granite walls.

The engraving of the 3 large plaques shown in the memorial wall below, began in August of 2008.

The work on the other walls documenting WWI, WWII, The Korean War,

The Vietnam War and The Post-Vietnam Wars started in January, 2009.

The project was completed in May, 2009. The dedication followed on Memorial Day.

The smaller plaques were also done in the same time frame.

See the Memorial in greater detail on my Irving Veterans Memorial blog.
